Parineeti Chopra graced the 5th Yash Chopra Memorial Award here in Mumbai. During her interaction, actress quipped that her upcoming drama Kesari with Akshay Kumar is a “very Punjabi” film.

Talking about her outing with Akshay Kumar in Kesari, Parneeti said, “It’s been a dream to work with Akshay Kumar for a really long time. He is also a Punjabi, I am also a Punjabi, and we’re doing a very Punjabi film. So I am very excited to start the film”
Kesari is an upcoming drama film directed by Anurag Singh. It is based on the Battle of Saragarhi and stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. This is the first time that Parineeti and Akshay will be seen on the silver screen together. The movie was originally meant to be co-produced by Karan Johar and Salman Khan, though the latter backed out late last year.
Interestingly Parineeti Chopra is all set kick-start Namastey England, which is a next installment of Namastey London, starring Akshay Kumar.
“I am leaving for London in three day to start Namastey England, and I am very excited, but I think I am more excited for Kesari” added Parineeti.
Namastey England will be directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, also starring Arjun Kapoor in the lead.
Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are also sharing screen space in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which is an upcoming romantic thriller drama film directed by Dibakar Banerjee.
The film is scheduled to be released on August 3, 2018.
