Ayushmann Khurrana, Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari launched trailer of their upcoming film Bareilly Ki Barfi on Wednesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Ayushmann stated that Kriti Sanon is revelation in the film.
Kriti Sanon is playing title role in Bareilly Ki Barfi, praising Kirti her co-actor Ayushmann said, “Kriti is a revelation in the film, so far we have seen her in the urban avatar, this is the first time she is doing something desi , de-glam and very real. It’s very refreshing to see her like that.”
Ayshmann is doing thriller with Sriram Raghavan, talking about that film, he said, “I am doing a Sriram Raghavan film, it’s a thriller. It’s a very different film for me. That will be the first time you will be seeing me in a thriller. It’s something I have never done before.”
Ayushmann spoke about his experience working with Ashwiny Iyer and Nitesh Tiwari, “It’s great to work with credible people, intelligent creative and most importantly nice people. They are both very simple and it’s easy to connect with them. They also connect very easily with audience. Look at their previous performance, Nil Battey Sannata was amazing, Dangal was amazing. I am honored to work with them.”
When asked about nepotism in the industry, Ayushmann said, “I think in this day and age, your talent makes you survive. I think the industry kids like Ranbir, Varun and Alia are brilliantly talented and that’s why they are surviving. Probably if you are a star kid you can get a good launch but apart from that it’s your own talent which makes you stay there forever. The stakes are also very high; you have more pressure on you if you are a star kid. I think right now it doesn’t really matter if you are a star kid or not.”
Ayushmann Khurrana is a printing press owner whereas Rajkummar Rao is working under him in the printing press. Kriti Sanon is plays the role of a young contemporary girl in UP.
Bareilly Ki Barfi is directed by Nil Battey Sannata famed Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and written by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari. It is an adaptation of the French book Ingredients of love.
Bareilly Ki Barfi will release in theaters on 18 August 2017.
