After their Summer/Resort 2017 edition at Reliance Jio Garden, the Winter/Festive 2017 edition of Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) will take place at St Regis here starting from August 16 to 20.

“Considering the grand success of the last few seasons of Lakmé Fashion Week, we are thrilled to announce the dates for the Winter/Festive 2017 edition. Once again, we aim to conceptualise path-breaking concepts that take fashion forward and beyond the realms that it currently operates in,” Jaspreet Chandok, Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance Ltd, said in a statement.

With each season, LFW continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

There have been several firsts to its credit over the past couple of seasons. These include launching artisans as designers, presenting the first cruise show in Indian Fashion, a Virtual Reality show, model auditions in the North East and having a transgender model as part of the model pool.

“Lakmé Fashion Week celebrates the best in fashion and beauty, and establishes cutting-edge trends year-on-year. Winter/Festive 2017 will bring to the runway looks that showcase the best of Indian creativity. Whether you’re at our venue or following the event on your mobile screens, you’re assured a not-to-miss season,” said Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovation, Lakmé.

LFW is jointly organised by Lakmé and IMG Reliance Pvt. Ltd.
