Mumbai, July 30 (IANS) Documentary filmmaker Madhureeta Anand denies reports that her first feature film “Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye” is inspired by her life. “There are a few reports in the media that has stated the film is based on my real life story, which I would like to clarify as not true.”

The debutant director said the story of the film is such that it is very hard to be anyone’s true story. But it has some elements which have been incorporated from her real life experiences. “Every first time director tends to bring his or her real life experience in the film. So my film is based on some of my real life experiences, but it is definitely not based on my life story,” Mahureeta told IANS here Tuesday.

Madhureeta, who has made various award-winning documentaries for BBC and National Geographic channel and a digital short film on child abuse, “Walking On A Moonbeam”, describes “Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye”, that stars Arbaaz Khan, Raima Sen and Randeep Hooda, as a dramatic comedy.

“Shooting is complete and it is scheduled for September release,” she said. The film’s main attraction is Randeep who plays 18 different characters in it. She said Randeep plays a woman’s fantasy and appears before her in different forms.

“Randeep is basically the same person who appears in different forms on various occasions. He will be seen playing various characters including Elvis Presley, Zorro, James Bond or even Bollywood’s legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra,” informed Madhureeta.

“Besides, he will also be seen in various other ordinary characters like a music guru or a cop,” she added. She needed a good-looking artist who is also a good actor for the role. “I think Randeep has all the qualities that we were looking for. I was impressed with Randeep’s acting skills after seeing one of his plays with Naseeruddin Shah for Motley group.

“Randeep is one of the finest actors that we have in the industry today. He has done a wonderful job in all the roles that he has played.” Madhureeta’s next venture after “Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye” will be “Krishna Circus”. “It is a fun film and I will start working on the project some time early next year.”
