September 4, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): After making her Bollywood debut in ‘3 Idiots’ Mona Singh is all geared up for another comedy flick on silver screen in a lead role with none other Vinay Pathak who is known for his comedy role in films like ‘ Khosla Ka Ghosla’, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ et al.
Talking about her film, an excited Mona says, “I just finished doing two more films where I am playing the lead with Vinay Pathak. So I’m waiting for the release.”
Spilling some more beans about her films, Mona said, “The film’s title is ‘Lakshman Rekha’ where Vinay plays the character of Lakshman and I’m Rekha. I play a radio Jockey in the film who is a most popular RJ and it is love comedy. The second movie’s title is not yet decided, it might be ‘Utpataang’.”
Further she also gives more info about another film which again stars Vinay Pathak in the film, “The second movie is a suspense, thriller, comedy and I do what people don’t expect me to do.”
She also tells that the directors of the film are new comers.
” ‘Laksman Rekha’ is produced by Anand Raj Anand the music director and the other one is being produced by Reliance.” Retorted back Mona
Adding further she says, “Both the films that I have done with Vinay Pathak are romantic comedy as you know that is Vinay’s genre.”
But it looks as if Mona is now not interested in doing any more daily soap like ‘Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin’.
She laughs aloud and quips, “I do not want to be part of any daily soap, because there is nothing fun like ‘Jassi…’ I will be stick to television and continue to do reality shows.”
The actress is now keener on doing films and she has kept her fingers crossed.
She says, “I am in talks with Raju Hirani for another film, lets hope for the best.” Well! Mona we wish you all the Best for not one but two films in lead role and hope that you will be able to surprise the audience by your performance on Big Screen.
