Here comes a peppy, hip and thought-provoking modern amalgamation of truth meets poetry and spiced it up with rap! We are talking about new rap song Mantoiyat from forthcoming period drama biopic Manto!
The makers of Manto are up with a new sing titled Mantoiyat which is sung by Raftaar. And this song is thought-provoking and outstanding!
Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared the song on his social media profile. He captioned it, “Sach ki boli bol. Duniya Rokegi, phir bhi bol. Yahi #Mantoiyat hai, tu bindass bol! Mantoiyat is written by Raftaar, the lyrics are also inspired by Saadat Hasan Manto’s work. The song takes dig at current problem, which Indian society is facing – Sex, Rape, Oppression, Acid Attack and lot more.
The film follows the most tumultuous four years in the life of Manto and that of the two countries he inhabits – India and Pakistan. In Bombay’s seedy-shiny film world, Manto and his stories are widely read and accepted. But as sectarian violence engulfs the nation, Manto makes the difficult choice of leaving his beloved Bombay.
