Actress Nushrat Bhrucha interacted with media on the verge of release of her upcoming film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ on Wednesday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Nushrat said that now box-office numbers defines film’s success and actor’s stardom.

When asked Nushrat whether she gets affected by box-office numbers of her films, she said, “Now Box office number defines film’s success and actor’s stardom. Now people will not ask you about how well you have performed in the film instead of that, they ask about box-office collection of a film in which you have worked because this has become functionality of the industry. People are now more focusing on high return on investment and film industry is no exception to that but thankfully, there is two section of filmmaking in which one only focuses on money aspect and another section who only looks after creative aspect when you are making a film”

In the trailer of the film, it seems that two male characters are fighting with each other for Nushrat Bharucha’s character so when asked Nushrat how does she feels when two males are fighting with each other only for her, she said, “They are not fighting for me. In the film me and Karthik are fighting with each other for another boy played by Sunny Singh Nijjar because my character wants to get married to Sunny’s character and live happily but his one friend played by Kartik Aaryan doesn’t like me so my character’s fight is with Kartik’s character who wants to save his friend from getting married with my character”

“In the film, Kartik’s character constantly tries to create a trap for my character but my character is always two steps ahead of him and I think that is the fun part throughout the film where two of us constantly try to overpower each other with our tactics”

Talking about working with Kartik Aaryan in their fourth collaboration with each other, Nushrat said, “Sometimes, I fight with him and sometime I treat him as a friend. I think he has grown with me with so many years of experience. Now we have come to good, normal space where both us knows everything about each other so we don’t have expectations or fights with each other. We both have lot of fun of with each other on and off the sets and that is the reason why it transpires onscreen as well”

Talking about working with filmmaker Luv Ranjan, Nushrat said, “From the beginning , we all had comfort with Luv sir as he gives full freedom to express our opinions when it comes to shooting a film and that is the reason why we are doing our 4th film together and apart from that, what makes him unique is his style of writing when his character wants say a simple line like ‘I love you’ then he will express that same feeling in fifty other words which is really interesting as he does usual things in very unusual ways through his writing and direction”

When asked Nushrat what kinds of role she wants to play in future as an actress, she said, “I want to do romance, I want to be a murderer or bank robber or investigative or mentally challenged character in films. I don’t think there are boundaries in acting and that is its beauty so whenever you try to limit yourself as an actor then you automatically stereotype yourself in certain genre so I don’t want to be restrict myself in any particular genre”

When asked Nushrat which actor and filmmaker on her wish-list to work with, she said, “As far as male actors are concerned, I feel everyone is good so I don’t have specific wish-list when it comes to working with actors. An actor doesn’t decide story or a performance, the director does that so I want to work with different types of directors and in that list , I would always want to work with Imtiaz Ali then Abhshek Chaubey who has made films like “Dedh Ishqiya’ and Udta Punjab’”

Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is a romantic comedy film directed by Luv Ranjan. Ranjan also produced the film with Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Ankur Garg. This is the fourth collaboration between Luv Ranjan and the lead actors Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha after having worked together in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 previously.

The film is scheduled to release on 23 February 2018.
