Now Marathi youth audience is patronizing Marathi films which is positive sign for Marathi cinema says Shreyas Talpade

Shreyas Talpade and Rohit Shetty launched trailer and music of upcoming Marathi film ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’ on Friday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Shreyas stated that now Marathi youth audience is patronising Marathi film which is positive sign for Marathi cinema.

Over the years quality and content of Marathi cinema has witnessed upward growth which is also resulting in their box-offce collection as well, talking about this scenario, Shreyas said, “New artists and filmmakers are entering with fresh ideas in the Marathi film industry and producers are also trying to experiment something new with their films and more important aspect is that audience are becoming more accepting when it comes to consuming fresh and new ideas. Earlier, Marathi youth audience wasn’t turning up to theatres to watch Marathi films that scenario is also changing and today, they are patronising Marathi films so I guess this overall scenario is really positive so now, filmmakers are trying to come up with new subjects because we know there is audience to watch different kind of Marathi cinema so I hope this should continue in future as well”

Talking about Marathi film, ‘Ye Re Ye Re Paisa’ Shreyas said, “I am really happy that my friends from Marathi film industry Amey Khopakr, Sanjay Jadhav and Umesh Kamat has come together for an out an out entertaining Marathi film and they launched their film’s trailer and music launch from very correct person called Rohit Shetty as he has given so many super hits in Bollywood. I know Amey and Sanjay since many years when I used to do theatre and television so now in next year there film is ready for release, so I am very happy for them and I want to wish them all the luck”

When asked Shreyas about his upcoming Marathi films, Shreyas said, “I started my career with Marathi films so next year, I am doing a Marathi film and very soon we will start shooting of that film and when we will start shooting of that film , I will talk more about it”

Talking about his upcoming project in Hindi film industry, Shreyas said, “Again, I am starting of my next film in the end of January but the name of that films is hasn’t been finalized so I won’t be able to talk about that”

Bobby Deol is now working Salman Khan along in Remo D’Souza next film, ‘Race 3’ with whom Shreyas previously worked in ‘Poster Boys’ so talking about second innings of Bobby in Bollywood, Shreyas said, “I am very happy for Bobby because he is very sincere guy and he does his work with honesty. From last few years, he was in different phase but now, I am happy that with his hard work he is getting opportunity to work in films like ‘Race 3’ and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se’ because I feel good things should happen with people with good heart”

Talking about recent controversy surrounding release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, Shreyas said, “I feel each filmmaker has his own perspective when his makes a film and people also might have different opinions but I feel we should respect both parties view point . I feel film is creative medium so we should give liberty to filmmaker to express his views and after that let people decide whether they want to see it or not having said that we should also consider people sentiments while making a film”

Sheyas Talpade was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ along with Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra.
