Producer Ritesh Sidhwani along with actors, Renuka Shahane, Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadha were present at the trailer launch of their upcoming film ‘3 Storeys‘ on Wednesday. During media interaction, Renuka said, that once her kids are off to college she will come back to the big screen for good.
Renuka Shahane who was last seen in ‘Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha’ will appear in Bollywood films after 14 years, when asked about the reason she chose to stay away from the screen and if fans will get the chance to see he regularly she said, “Now my children and young now one of them in 10th and is going to give the exam soon. That is the sole reason I am a 24*7 mom once they go to college I think I will be seen much more often in films.”
When asked what made her chose the film she said, “The kind of screenplay at has it is a very rare film. And as an actor, you look forward to working in films that say something different use fantastic co-actors and tell the story in a very different manner. All the things that attract me as your audience are there in ‘3 Storeys’ so when I write the screenplay and when he narrated the character to me I was just flowed by it.”
Talking about Renuka’s career in Marathi films, recently the actress worked with former co-actor Madhuri Dixit Nene after 23 years, when asked about the experience she said, “It was a dream to work with Madhuri, back then also it was a dream come true. I am very very happy to be happy to work with her. I think no matter how you get a chance to work with her you should just take it she is that amazing.”
The film 3 Storeys starring Sharman Joshi, Renuka Shahane, and Masumeh Makhija also brings back Fukrey actors Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadha in pivotal roles.
The film explores stories of people living on the three different storeys of a chawl, while dealing with love, betrayal and everything in between with its unique narratives.
Helmed by debutant director Arjun Mukerjee, 3 Storeys hits the theaters on March 9, 2018.
