Actor Shahid Kapoor was spotted at a Launch event recently and dapper actor talked about tussle with Karni Sena and other fringe groups stating that one cannot reason with people, who are talking violence.

“How do you talk to people, who are talking about violence? You just can’t talk to them. So the best thing is to be dignified and remain quiet and hopefully everybody will stop, you know, allowing them to talk on every platform. So that we don’t see people threatening people all the time, it is not nice. It scares you” adds Shahid Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor also added that he is not scared about working in another period drama film, which might attract controversies.

Udta Punjab wasn’t a period film and there was so much controversy around it. I don’t think scared is the right word; I don’t think creative people should be scared because you can’t create if you are constricted. You cannot create until you are open and liberated. I think art is the reflection of society at large, so it is important to express yourself with a certain sense of freedom, especially in a democracy” added Shahid Kapoor.

Padmvati also stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.

Shahid Kapoor also added that he is grateful to everyone, who has supported the film.
“At such times when you feel little vulnerable and emotional because everybody has put some much work into the film, you feel very grateful that people are supporting you. So I am thankful everybody else who has spoken for the movie” said Shahid Kapoor.
