A Dead body of Chetan Kumar Saini found hanging at Nahargarh Fort with threat note which was scribbled on the rocks nearby. The note says “Hum Sirf putley nahi jalathey Padmavati”, which literally translates to “We don’t just burn effigies Padmavati”.
This kind of scandal has shocked the very foundation of the film industry and political system.
Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha shared the picture of the accident and shared a powerful message. He wrote, “Getting there…Sooner than we imagined. Wake up India. Nahargarh Fort”
Indian National Congress party member and politician Kapil Sibal also shared a message about the whole incident on Twitter. He wrote, “#Save India Hang tolerance, hang sanity, hang civility, hang our freedoms. A human being hanged on Nahargarh fort to oppose Padmavati”
Rajput Karni Sena, the organization which is at the forefront of anti-Padmavati protests, has denied the involvement of their outfit in the happening.
Padmavati tells the story of Padmini, who is said to have killed herself to avoid being captured by Muslim emperor Alauddin Khilji. Outfits such as the Shri Rajput Karni Sena are angry over a rumored depiction of a romance between Padmini, played by Deepika Padukone and Khilji, played by Ranveer Singh.
The film’s crew has been given several death threats, including a bounty for beheading producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Padukone, offered by a Haryana BJP leader. The film’s release was put off last Sunday in the face of the protests.
