The veteran actor will not only be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ where he plays the role of actor turned politician Sunil Dutt, he also confirmed to be playing the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopic which goes on floors in September this year and now he will also be playing yet another real-life hero in Vicky Kaushal–Yami Gautam‘s upcoming film ‘Uri’.
The actor shared his unbelievable transformation for the part of National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.
He took to Twitter to share his pictures from the sets of the film and wrote, “Essaying the role of the respected NSA in my next film -URI, produced by @RonnieScrewvala @RSVPMovies”
Mr. Doval is a true legend in the world of “Intelligence” and he was the National Security Advisor during the surgical strike in 2016, he has also handled complex issues like Mizo insurgency and the release of IC 814 hostages from Kandahar. Operation Black Thunder-II that was launched to flush out militants from the Golden Temple in 1988 was under him as well.
Doval also became the first police officer to be awarded the second-highest peacetime gallantry award, the Kirti Chakra, for his exploits during that operation.
The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala based on true story of Surgical Strike across the border by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
