The Gujarat High Court dismissed a PIL this Wednesday which demanded that Salman Khan‘s Sultan shouldn’t be released and that action should be taken against the actor for his remark on rape.
The bench which consisted of Justice VM Pancholi and Chief Justice RS Reddy said they won’t be interfering with this issue since the film didn’t contain any comments or obscenity which required that the film be stopped from being shown.
Aditya Raval, the petitioner, who is also the president of the Vishwa Hindustani Sangathan, sought action against Salman on the grounds of his reckless statement which he claimed would have a serious impact on sexual harassment victims, especially women.
