Thaanedaar Sanjay Dutt aaya and sabko hila diya! Sanjay Dutt, who has been a lucky mascot for producer-director Jyotin Goel, arrived on the sets of the romantic comedy ‘Pri And Me’ and handcuffed superstar in the making Dev Goel and the bewitching Adah Sharma in his typical ‘ishtyle’. Sanju, who plays a cop in the film, has been known to involve himself completely in every project he participates in. He has proved it again with his imaginative contributions to Jyotin Goel’s upcoming ‘Pri and Me’.
At first, the handsome Dev Goel and the beautiful Adah Sharma were supposed to be handcuffed independently in a scene. To make it more comical and dynamic, Sanju Baba suggested that both of them be handcuffed to each other. Not only did his suggestion elevate the scene to a whole new level but Dev and Adah had a great time enacting it! “We’re lucky that they had the key on set, otherwise going to the bathroom would have been really awkward,” joked Dev.
Talking about the scene, director Jyotin Goel says, “Well, it goes without saying that Sanjay Dutt has a fantastic screen presence and natural comic ability. His association with Goel Screencraft goes back years when we did movies like ‘Safari’, ‘Zahreelay’ and ‘Inaam Dus Hazaar’ together. He was extremely cooperative and delivered power-packed shots one after another. His suggestion regarding the handcuffs was a masterstroke! Of course, we won’t reveal why he arrests Dev and Adah. Some surprises are necessary during the film.”
Sanju is of course, returning to khaki after a long time. He last played a cop in ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ and before that in ‘Thaanedar’, both of which went on to be superhits. With such a terrific background accentuating ‘Pri and Me’, we’re sure Sanju’s fans will be eagerly awaiting the film’s release!
“Pri and Me’ also marks the debut of Dev Goel, who first appeared on screen as Sanjay Dutt’s son in the hit film, ‘Zahreelay’. ‘Pri And Me’ also stars Adah Sharma, Juhi Chawla and Chunky Pandey.
