After making a massive hit, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, filmmaker Shree Narayan Singh has kick-started the shooting for his second mega movie, Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
Now here comes a little sneak-peek into the character Shahid Kapoor will be playing in BGMC (Batti Gul Meter Chalu), which revolves around a common man’s daily struggles involving the shortage of electricity supply as well as increasing price of basic necessities in life.
The producer of the film, KriArj Entertainment confirmed that Shahid Kapoor will be donning the lawyer’s role in the upcoming film. The official Twitter page confirmed, “@shahidkapoor to don the lawyer’s robe in Batti Gul Meter Chalu, this 31st August 2018”
The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin from January 19 next year and planned to hit the big screen by August 2018.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu teaser has released this Diwali, to announce the title of the film which will have Shahid Kapoor as its lead.
It is also been reported that stunning diva Ileana D’Cruz, has been finalised for the female lead in the film. She will be playing the role of a lawyer opposite Shahid, who will also be seen as a lawyer in the film.
Shahid Kapoor will also be seen in Padmavati, which is currently stuck in controversy with Karni Sena and has been deferred to next year.
Ileana Dcruz is currently busy wrapping Raid, opposite Ajay Devgn.
