Shibani Dandekar was present at the Payal Singhal Collection Preview in association with Desai Foundation on Friday. During media interaction she said her fashion tip to everyone is not to follow trends.
Actress Shibani was asked what fashion tip would she like to part for her fans what is her own style statement, she said, “I don’t really think I have a style statement, it keeps on changing based on my mood. Some days I feel a little grungy, or edgy, may be girly but most of the time it is boyish. It changes a lot so I don’t think I have a style statement. I don’t follow one particular thing. My fashion tip to everyone would be ‘don’t follow trends’, I think it’s really dumb. I think you have to find what’s for you, what you are comfortable with and what’s right for you.”
She also spoke about Desai Foundation and her friend designer Payal Singhal’s efforts0, she said, “It is wonderful to be here and support the cause. The Desai foundation is about giving women the opportunity to learn skills to help function in life and skills useful for employment. Payal Singhal is one of my closest friends. We have known each other for about 13 years now and anything that she does I support, especially something like this which is a very incredible cause. And it is great to see especially designers at her level really creating opportunities for people and supporting causes like this to send out a message and letting all of us know what’s out there and how we can do our little bit to help.”
When asked about her future projects Shibani said, “After ‘Khatron ke Khiladi’ now I will be going to London to shoot for a film titled ‘Firrkie’ with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Kay Kay Menon and Karan Singh Grover. I will be playing a lawyer in the film. We have just started shooting; we will be in London for a month or so. ‘The Stage’s’ new season is also starting so there is a lot on my plate right now and I am really excited.”
Shibani Dandekar was last seen in ‘Noor’ directed by Sunhil Sippy with Sonakshi Sinha and her future project ‘Firkie’ is scheduled to release in 2018.
