Simbu starring remake of political thriller Maanaadu with Venkat Prabhu, finally will go on floors on superstar’s coming birthday.

According to media reports, the film, Manaadu will finally go to sets on February 3 on the occasion of Simbu’s birthday. The actor will go under rigorous training in martial arts for his role in the film, which will be produced by Suresh Kamatchi.
Maanaadu will mark Venkat’s maiden collaboration with Simbu. The first look poster for the film is out. The poster features massive silhouette-style cut-outs of political leaders and party flags in a twilight setting. The word ‘Maanaadu’ (a public political conference) is displayed on a roadside wall, in an obvious pop-culture political reference.
Meanwhile, Simbu has almost completed work on Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, the Tamil remake of Attarintiki Daredi. The film, directed by Sundar C, also stars Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa as the leading ladies.
Hiphop Tamizha composes the film’s music. It is a remake of the Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi (2013). The title of the film is taken from a dialogue by Silambarasan in Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (2018).
The original was released in 2013, it is the last known blockbuster in Pawan Kalyan’s career. The story follows a grandson, played by Kalyan, who promises to his grandfather to help him reconcile his relationship with his estranged daughter.
