Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, Athiya Shetty, Anees Bazmee, Rahul Dev, Karan Kundra, Neha Sharma, and Pawan Malhotra attended Mubarakan Night – Sangeet Ceremony, promotional event of their upcoming film Mubarakan on Thursday in Mumbai. Anil and Arjun had short fun interaction with each other during the event and in that, Arjun revealed that Sonam Kapoor is his favorite cousin.
When Anil asked Arjun about who is your favorite cousin, initially Arjun dodged the question saying if I name one then other two (Rhea and Harshvardhan) will beat me at home and he said to Anil that he is the one who is my favorite cousin but later he confessed that, “Sonam is my favorite cousin. We both are of similar age. We both gone to same school and from the beginning I am very protective about her and will always be in my life”.
When Anil asked Arjun about qualities you imbibe from Kapoor family, Arjun said, “I feel the love for cinema, the desire to constantly entertain the audience. We as family love cinema and one thing I learned from them that no matter how many times you need to be at the service of audience because they make you. They are the reason why are we here today”
“They all have taught me that it’s never about what I am doing, it’s always about giving back, connecting and entertaining the audience, more importantly making good films. There have been ups and downs in our family but I have always seen that we all stuck together to try and entertain the audience”
Arjun also was all praises for his director Anees Bazmee. He said that both Anil and Anees were the pillars of their film and all credits need to go to them for churning out a fantastic entertainer.
Anil on the other hand kidded about his girlfriends. When Arjun asked him about his girls, Anil said, “I have had girlfriends since school days. During the time, I would play Doctor Doctor with them, using the opportunity to check them out. But my wife Sunita was the best. She was my friend and then became my girlfriend. We are with each other since 43 years.”
Mubarakan revolves around Karan and Charan who are identical twins go through a twist of fate end up becoming cousins. One brought up in Chandigarh and the other in London, they are as different as brothers can be. The plot takes a turn when their families start searching for a bride for them, unknown to the fact that they already have girlfriends. Then their genius uncle, Kartar, enters the scene trying to get them out of this mess and in fact, lands them in more confusion.
