Sonam Kapoor wants more playgrounds for children

Actress Sonam Kapoor and Former captain of Indian cricket team Kapil Dev attend Magic Bus project’s new initiative on Monday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Sonam hoped that there will be more playgrounds for children.

When asked Sonam about decreasing number of playgrounds in Mumbai, Sonam said, “There are no grounds. I remember, I used to study in Arya Vidya Mandir in Juhu but we used to Azad Maidan to play by travelling one hour so I hope there will be lot of grounds for children to play. We should give more importance to sports and I am hopeful that things will change slowly and steadily.”

Talking about Magic Bus project’s new initiative, Sonam said, “Magic Bus project is doing extra-ordinary work from 18 years. They educate underprivileged children about hygiene, eating habits through their different kind of activities with them and at the same time bring happiness in their life. I am fortunate that I associated with Magic Bus initiative and through that, I got opportunity to spend some time with them.

Talking about her favorite sports, Sonam said, “I used to play Football and Basketball. I also used to play Hockey but I got injured while playing Hockey so I quit that. I used to dance as well. I feel dance is also a form of sport. I feel we can do so much for society through sports, dance and art”

Talking about Magic Bus project new initiative, Kapil Dev said, “I am glad to be associated with Magic Bus new initiative. Whenever they will approach me, I will be there to support them in their amazing work.”

Talking about decreasing number of playgrounds for children, Kapil Dev said, “It depends upon government authorities to build schools and playground as much as possible. Population of our country is increasing day by day so it’s up to government to work on these aspects”

Filmmaker Kabir Khan is gearing up to make a movie based on Indian cricket team’s world cup victory in 1983 starring Ranveer Singh,so when asked Kapil Dev about current crop of actors from bollywood, Kapil Dev said, “actors of Hindi film industry are really good and I feel they shouldn’t be compared with anyone. If you see in last 20-25 years, we have seen amazing talent in the industry”

Talking about Kabir Khan Film, Kapil dev said, “Now it’s up to director and producers how they make the film. We will try to give them good stories and give all possible information about that phase.”

Sonam Kapoor next will be seen R. Balki’s ‘Padman’, Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanjay Dutt biopic and Shashanka Ghosh’s ‘Veere Di Wedding’.
