Sonu Sood, has embarked on a new project aimed at empowering the underprivileged children of Bihar, India, through education. Known for his generous acts of charity and unwavering commitment to alleviate poverty, Sood’s latest endeavour involves constructing a school to benefit the needy students in this region.
Sonu Sood, lovingly referred to as a ‘messiah’ for his tireless efforts in providing aid to the less fortunate, firmly believes that access to quality education is instrumental in combating poverty. His objective is to provide children hailing from marginalized communities with greater prospects for their future. In his view, education opens up enhanced job opportunities, paving the way for them to escape the clutches of poverty.
The journey began when Sonu came across a heartening story of an engineer from Katihar, Bihar – Birendra Kumar Mahato. Mahato, a 27-year-old professional, had made a profound decision to leave his secure job and establish a school for orphaned children. The engineer’s commitment to such a noble cause was so deeply influenced by Sonu Sood that he named the school after the actor, paying tribute to his altruistic spirit.
Impressed by Mahato’s dedication and the significant impact it had on the lives of 110 children, Sood pledged his support. His assistance will not only manifest in the form of a new school building but also extend towards promoting higher education for these underprivileged kids.
Sonu Sood’s visit to the school, which doubles as a shelter, deeply moved him. Witnessing the children receiving free education and meals demonstrated the tangible effects of Mahato’s commendable efforts. But education is just one piece of the puzzle. Sonu pointed out the critical importance of addressing the children’s nutrition and overall well-being, essential elements to ensuring their holistic development.
The actor, known for his roles in films like ‘Simmba‘ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj‘, remains actively involved in the film industry, with future projects including ‘Fateh’ and ‘Roadies season 19‘. However, it’s Sood’s philanthropic work off-screen that continues to leave an indelible mark, as he remains dedicated to creating opportunities for those who need them most.
Sonu Sood’s commitment to aid Bihar’s underprivileged children is more than a philanthropic gesture. It is a testament to his belief in the power of education and the potential it holds to transform lives. By joining hands with figures like Mahato, Sood not only contributes to immediate assistance but also forges a path of hope for the marginalized sections of society.
