Star Kids Carries A Lot Of Responsibility and Burden Says Mahaakshay Chakraborty

Mahaakshay Chakraborty, who will be seen in his most loved genre, thriller, titled ‘Sorry I Am Late’, says being star kids doesn’t help and it brings a lot of burden and responsibility.

Actor Mahaakshay Chakraborty was interacting with media during the launch of his next movie, “Sorry I Am Late” in Mumbai. The film is helmed by Jayeveer Panghaal, starring Nikita Soni, Ankita Thakur and Muzahid Khan.

Talking about selecting a thriller film, after a long gap, Mimoh said, “The script is the most important part, and over the time I have heard so many scripts and stories, but none struck a chord with me. But this story struck me and struck me hard. It’s a thriller, a very realistic dark thriller, which is based on real incidents. And when I heard the script, I was completely hooked and I even approached my director and told him, whether I am part of this film or not, please do make this movie, because this movie needs to be made and people needs to see it”.

With talks of Nepotism and star-kid being bullied for being privileged, Mimoh shuns all the misconception about “struggle-free” life and talks about the pressure of being star-kid.

He said, “Struggle and battle are part of everyone’s life. And as my dad would often tell me, look Mimoh you will always be my son but then again, I have to understand the gravity of it, whose son am I? I am the son of Mithun Chakraborty, at home he is my father, but for the world, he is the dancing superstar, 3 times National Award winner, the ultimate fighting and dancing star of the country. Being his son brings a lot of responsibility, there is this huge burden on my shoulder all the time”

People don’t see that burden and responsibility. I audition for parts like a normal struggling actor. I don’t go telling people about my father, unless they already know. I am like everyone else, just a struggling actor and I want people to know this, I want to put this message out to everyone. That look, just because I am someone’s child, the door’s just doesn’t open like that for me and it’s not fun and games for me either. A star kid carries a lot of responsibility and this responsibility makes him fight harder” added Mimoh.

Further adding Mimoh slammed people talking about nepotism without knowing the actual truth. He added, “Everyone is just talking about nepotism; people think he is someone’s son so he is getting the part, I don’t agree to that. I work hard, I audition, and in fact I auditioned for this film (Sorry I Am Late), I was never approached for this film, I was selected for this film, like everyone else. People need to understand just because I carry a heavy surname, your first name doesn’t allow you to take advantage of the situation. I might be Mithun Chakraborty’s son, but I have my own identity and to prove my identity will take me time.”

Mimoh also added that he thrive for the day when his father, Mithun Chakraborty will tell people he is Mimoh’s father. He said, “It will be a proud moment for me when my father introduces himself as my father, rather than the other way around”.

The film is bankrolled by Mates Entertainment.
