After rocking the silver screen with her versatile acting skills and varied role selection, actress Swara Bhasker is heading to smaller-screen with a new web-series titled Rasbhari.

Swara Bhasker confirmed the web-series on her social media profile and also released her characters look and name, Shanoo.
She wrote, “I always try to play characters which I have never seen on screen. With #Rasbhari’s Shanoo, I hope that we all get to see a character that helps us shed some light on today’s society. Super proud to be associated with this show by @applausesocial! @sameern @nixbhat #TanveerBookwala #ShantanuSrivastava #ComingUp”
The web-series is based on a school boy and his love for his English teacher. The premise of the series will be Meerut. Applause Entertainment is bank-rolling the project.
Rasbhari by Applause Entertainment will be a 10 episode series set in local culture and flavor of small town Uttar Pradesh. It will feature Swara as Shanoo, an English teacher in a Meerut school who has caught the attention of a class 11th student Ayushmaan Saxena. The series will be helmed by Nikhil Bhat.
It will be Swara’s second web outing after the successful ‘It’s Not That Simple’, which has been renewed for a second season with Sumeet Vyas joining the cast of the Voot series.
Last Swara was seen in “Veere Di Wedding” which also starred Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania. The movie is doing remarkably well at box-office.
