On Wednesday, on the eve of World Music Day, T-Series launched is unique programme for the YouTube audience. The event was attended by Kanika Kapoor, Ahmed Khan, Bhushan Kumar, Armaan Malik, Shirley Setia, Jubin Nautiyal, Mohammad Irfan, Aditi Singh Sharma, Harshdeep Kaur and Aditya Narayan.
‘Mixtape’ is to instigate a musical experience like never before. The music lovers will witness a magic of exploring a spectrum of mash-ups. It will bring together some of India’s talented artists and showcase multi-artist performing live with mesmerizing renditions of biggest Bollywood hits.
26 singers-17 episodes-one stage will be spotted and each episode will witness a lively duet and solo performances on recreations of the old songs in a contemporary style. The line-up for this season includes Neeti Mohan, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Jubin Nautiyal, Neha Kakkar, Ayushman Khurana, Armaan Malik, Aditi Singh, Hardy Sandu, Shirley Setia, Mohd Irfan and many others.
T-Series recently made its space amongst the top 10 YouTube’s Most Viewed Channel. Continuing the same enthusiasm, T-Series will launch one of the inimitable properties on its YouTube named ‘Mixtape’ – produced by Bhushan Kumar.
Produced by T-Series, ‘Mixtape’ truly represents the melodious symphony music ranging from famous Bollywood love anthems, traditional harmonies, a modern dance number and much more bundled into one mighty musical treat.
Abhijit Vaghani has given the music for the entire season having each episode featuring well-known singers alongside wide-ranging instrumentalist to create a soulful sound that will get the nation grooving. The show has been directed by Ahmed Khan, who has created the best vibe for a visual treat.
Expressing his excitement, T-Series MD and Chairman Bhushan Kumar said, “Digital is a great platform to work with these days as it gives audience first hand connects. Having such a massive catalog of songs, we always wanted to do something on these lines. We are delighted that ‘Mixtape’ is finally coming to life with such great talent from the Industry. We thought of doing something new which is unique instead of just remixing songs. There will be no remixes. In Mixtape, we have mixed two songs not in medley kind of way. It is well blended that audience will feel that two different songs made into one. I am very thankful to the entire team especially, Ahmed Khan, he has worked very hard on it. He has given visual to it which is real because in this kind of soulful music , if you don’t get that kind of visual then I don’t think we can achieve what we wanted to achieve”
Talking about the directing videos, Ahmed Khan said, “It was new experience for me. Normally, we have habit to choreograph song which actors performs on somebody else vocals. This time we had spray of musician and singers singing live and we had to catup that with multiple camera. It was whole new experience for me”
