Vidya Balan, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Tumhari Sulu’, was present at the trailer launch of the film on Saturday. During media interaction the actress said, this is one of the best scripts I have read in the longest time.
“It’s been an exceptional experience working with Suresh. The day I heard the script I wrote these words on the script. ‘this is one of the best scripts I have read in the longest time’ and I mean that. A film changes by the time it reaches post production but ‘Tumhari Sulu’ was refined in the process. The film just got better.” shared Vidya during the trailer launch.
The Dirty Picture actress when asked about her reason for the film’s selection said, “I have not had fun on screen for a while; I have been playing very serious and heavy characters lately. After a long time, I got such a character that I so much fun with. I do think it’s precious to be able to smile and laugh and if a film is able to do that it’s amazing.”
While talking about the film’s special tribute to Sridevi through the song ‘Hawa Hawaii’, Balan said, “We are not recreating the song like it was in Mr. India, it’s more like we were having fun in the film. It’s a tribute to her. I can’t believe I actually got the chance to salute to her and her work in such a way. She is the one and only Sridevi and there won’t ever be another.”
Tanuj Garg, co-producer revealed that Sridevi will be also present at the launch of the new ‘Tumhari Sulu’ Hawa Hawaii.
‘Tumhari Sulu’ is a comical slice-of-life film directed by Suresh Triveni and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, and Atul Kasbekar. The film casts Vidya Balan, Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia, and Malishka Mendonsa.
