The winning team of Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan, and Varun Dhawan are joining forces once again for an action drama Rannbhoomi, which releases on Diwali 2020!
Karan Johar announced the film on his social media account. He wrote, “So proud to announce #RANNBHOOMI …@ShashankKhaitan and @Varun_dvn take a giant leap in their third offering together! A solid spectacle with a beating heart!!! DIWALI 2020 release! Remaining lead cast to be announced soon! @DharmaMovies @apoorvamehta18”
The movie will be made under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film will be directed by Shashank Khaitan, starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role. Though the female lead is yet to be announced along with other details of the film but the movie is slated for Diwali 2020 release.
Dharma Productions also confirmed the movie on the social media page. It wrote, “Booking you guys for DIWALI 2020 with #RANNBHOOMI – a big war film starring homeboy @Varun_dvn This time, the men from ‘Dulhania series’ take a giant leap in their 3rd offering into a solid spectacle with a beating heart! More soon! @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @ShashankKhaitan”
The movie marks the third outing of Varun and Shashank, post-Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, both were massive hits at the box-office.
In the meantime, Varun Dhawan has his kitty filled with October and Sui Dhaaga, which are slated for 2018 releases.
October is Shoojit Sircar directorial which pairs Varun with debutante Banita Sandhu in a romantic drama.
Sui Dhaaga pairs Varun and Anushka Sharma in a heart-warming story of love, struggle and made in India.
