‘Veere di wedding’ got me out of the commercial films zone says, Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is gearing up for the release of ‘Veere di Wedding‘ said this film got her out of the commercial films zone.

Kareena was present with ‘Veere di Wedding’ co-star Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania at the trailer launch in Mumbai.

While talking about choosing ‘Veere di Wedding’ as her comeback film Kareena said, “I have been part of many ensemble films but this was very special and that is why I wanted to be a part of it. I don’t think a lot of mainstream actresses want to be paired with other girls. They always want to work with Salman, Aamir, Shah Rukh, and I have worked with them.

The fact is that we really needed the part of it. I wanted to work with Sonam and Swara and feel like a team player. It has really taught me to get out of the commercial zone, the big Bollywood movies and be a part of a film and play a character. It has been a learning experience.”

When asked if Kareena is part of Salute- Rakesh Sharma Biopic she said, “Whatever film I choose I’ll definitely let everyone know at the right time. I don’t know what is going to happen next. I need some time, Taimur is still 16 months old and I took a lot of time for Veere di wedding. I just want this movie to release after that I will take a few months to decide but I promise to do one or two films a year. ”

Kareena who gave birth to Taimur in 2016 was asked how did she manage to survive through the drastic changes in her personal life while shooting, she said, “I am very lucky to have a husband who is so understanding. Apart from him even my producer Riya stood by me through this. I signed this film before I got pregnant. So I had to call her in two months and tell her that she needs to take someone else but I think the fact that they decided to wait and go with me is amazing. It’s their support that kept me going and later on it was Saif who pushed me to the gym. He told me I had to go to the studio, take my son with me and show it to other women that it is possible to do this.”
