Sidharth Malhotra was present at the Lokmat Maharashtra’s most Stylish awards on Tuesday along with many other celebs like Alia Bhatt, Kajol, Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar, Jackky Bhagnani, Chetan Bhagat and more. During media interaction, Siddharth said, we have matured as people and as an audience.
Ittefaq filmmakers had requested the audience to say no to spoilers by starting a campaign. When asked about the same and the film’s success Malhotra said, “I was pretty impressed by the media and the people who write blog and reviews that nobody gave the end away. I am glad that everyone respected our wishes, the story and the filmmaker’s vision. If you give away the end before people watch the movie then it takes the fun away. I think we have matured as people and as an audience, it shows there is a unity among people, no matter whose film they don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Very happy and grateful and everyone followed.”
Sidharth, when asked about the controversy around Deepika’s film, said, “As part of the industry as an actor I know much hard work goes into making a film. Also, I think they should give credit to the filmmakers if you see Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s track record all the films that he made they are very respectful and artistic. They have nothing offensive about them. I think it is unfair to say something without watching the film and its censor board’s right to decide what happens to a film.”
He further added he hopes for a good release for ‘Padmavati’ “As an industry, we are hoping that the film releases as planned. And if people do want to criticize they should watch the film first.”
Sidharth was last seen in Ittefaq, a Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Production, directed by Abhay Chopra costarring Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna. His future projects include Aiyaary a crime drama based on real-life incident directed by Neeraj Pandey.
