Acclaimed American actress Sarah Hyland and her husband, Wells Adams, marked their first wedding anniversary this past Sunday. Both took a moment to reminisce about their journey together by sharing heartwarming messages on their individual Instagram profiles.
Sarah, sharing a snapshot from their wedding, lovingly wrote, “One year married to you flew by in a blink of an eye. You’re my HUSBAND. My best friend. My true north. I love you more than words can say and every day is the best day when I’m with you. Marriage is the most fun I’ve ever had because I get to be married to you.”

The pair exchanged vows on August 20, 2022, amidst the picturesque backdrop of Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California. This came after a much-anticipated engagement that spanned over three years.
The event was graced by Sarah’s fellow actors from ‘Modern Family’, such as Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, with Jesse even playing a special role in officiating the wedding.
The celebrations saw Ciara Robinson, a notable influencer and actress, take on the role of maid of honour. Additionally, Vanessa Hudgens and musician GG Magree were among the chosen bridesmaids.
Sarah looked breathtaking in two distinct wedding gowns for the different segments of the ceremony. The team behind her elegant look comprised celebrity makeup artist Denika Bedrossian, who paired up with Charlotte Tilbury to craft the perfect bridal makeup for Sarah.
Their romantic tale began long before the wedding. In July 2019, after dating for almost two years, Wells, previously known from “Bachelorette”, popped the question. While the duo intended to marry in August 2020, unforeseen delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic meant they had to postpone their plans.
Recollecting the experience, Wells mentioned in a 2021 interview with People, “We were supposed to get married last year, obviously, that didn’t happen. We were supposed to get married this year, but that didn’t happen.”
