Filmmakers Mysskin and Ameer are well known for their talks about attempts of elevating the standards of Tamil cinema across the globe. But these filmmakers are limited in their scope of vision.
Here is why, filmmaker Ameer’s recent release ‘Yogi’ has been facing bad reviews, apart from listing the minuses, film critics have slammed Ameer for copying South African film ‘Tsotsi’ without mentioning the credits in his film.
On the other hand, Mysskin is infuriated with his producers, since they are not giving him a date on releasing his film ‘Nandhalala’. The film’s shooting was completed nearly a year before. After facing consecutive failures in production, Ayngaran International decided to release its other projects.
Mysskin has privately screened the film to almost every distributor and film personalities in town. Apart from congratulating Mysskin for his decent effort, none of them are coming up to release this film in theaters, as they believe it is a probable box office dud.
It’s worth mentioning that ‘Nandhalala’ is a remake of famous foreign film ‘Kikujiro’…
