Divya Dutt who is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘Fanney Khan’ was present at the Power Awards on Monday. During media Interaction the actress called Anil Kapoor Evergreen and a brilliant actor.
Divya Dutta was cast in Rakesh Mehra’s next as Anil Kapoor’s wife and asked about her first experience working with the ‘Mubarakan’ actor, “You will see me in Fanney Khan as Anil Kapoor’s wife; I have been paired opposite him for the first time. I already shot with Anil, I think he is such a bundle of energy and so much vigor that you cannot- not be influenced by him. His enthusiasm rubs off on you, he is evergreen I think and he is a brilliant actor, I am so glad to be working with him.”
Divya also spoke about working with Rakesh Mehra once again after past successes, she said, “As far as Rakesh Mehra is concerned, when I started working in ad’s I was working with him, after that I have been part of all of his films, from Delhi 6 which was a very different film for me to ‘Bhag Milkha Bhag’ that gave me all the love I could possibly get from the audience. This will be my third film with him and I am really looking forward to it, it has some beautiful things.”
When asked about Anil’s new look for the film and what different audience can expect from the film, Divya said, “He had some workshops for the film and I have seen him work hard on the go, on his looks, on his character. Not just his but mine too. It’s great to have co star like that who is enthusiastic about bringing his role to life.”
She further added, “I try my best to give it an extra edge and I am sure people will like it. The film has some really beautiful scenes and I have enjoyed shooting. I think if I loved while working so much for sure people will love it when it hits the theaters.”
Fanney Khan directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar, is a musical comedy film which features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles.
Anil, who had earlier featured with Aishwarya in Taal, will appear together on screen after 17 long years.
Fanney Khan, produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series, is an official remake of the Oscar nominated Dutch 2000 film Everybody’s Famous!. It is scheduled for a worldwide release in April 2018.
