I Am A Small Part Of A Big Film Says Kangana Ranaut

Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut says that she is a small part of a very big film about her forthcoming biographical drama Manikarnika.

Actress Kangana Ranaut along with Parsoon Joshi, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and entire cast and crew graced the audio launch of Manikarnika here in Mumbai.
Talking about the film and music, Kangana said, “As I said, I am a very small part of a very big film. I’ve worked in small films my entire career, but this is actually a big film not because of the budget or the story, it is a big film because the kind of artists I am getting to work with, and this is my first film with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the trio has done amazing things for the film. I think there are 7-8 songs in the film, and each and every one of them is better than the other”
Manikarnika also marks the directorial debut of Kangana Ranaut, who is also playing the titular role in the film. The actress also quipped that she has contributed to the songs as well.
She said, “This particular song we launched here was done by Krish, but I’ve done few songs in the film, as a director, be it the song Bharat and few others, there are songs where I have contributed”
Kangana Ranaut also talked about critics and troll slamming the film for cashing in on Nationalism. She said, “Words like Chest Thumping, Jingoism and Nationalism, are often used for shaming people, but when such words are used on your own sets, like Parsoon Joshi and Brijendar Sir, would usually claim that yes there is nationalism and jingoism, why not”
“So how passionate you are, that is how your passion is going to be…Love is love, be it any kind of love, never make someone guilty or feel lesser about it. When such acceptance is happening all across the world, and everyone is raising all sorts of flags, be it seven colored, five colored, two colored, so what is wrong with our Tri-colored Flag? People who are trying to make us ashamed about the love, but we shouldn’t be ashamed”
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is co-directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti. The film is scheduled to be released on 25 January 2019.
