Veteran actor Kamal Haasan is gearing up to commence work on Shankar’s Indian 2, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions on a lavish budget.
According to media reports, the principal shooting of Indian 2, which will mark Haasan’s return as the octogenarian vigilante Senapathy, will commence from January 18 in Hyderabad.
The film was earlier slated to go on floors in 2018, but due to Kamal’s political ambitions, it got stalled. The film will be predominantly shot in places like Taiwan and Ukraine, apart from Chennai and Hyderabad.
Stunning and talented Kajal Aggarwal has been roped opposite Kamal in the film. The music for the film is scared by Anirudh Ravichander. Ravi Varman will be handling the cinematography of the film. The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and AM Rathinam.
Politician and Actor Kamal is working with a team of international trainers to shed weight in the highly anticipated sequel to the 1992 blockbuster Indian, which featured Haasan in dual roles as a father and son.
The film will be a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster that had Kamal Hassan, Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar and Sukanya in the lead. Earlier it was announced that filming of ‘Indian 2’ would kick-off from mid of December was postponed to January 2019. Now we have confirmation that the film will go on floors from January 18 in Pollachi.
