Actor Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starring Simmba is ruling the box-office and audience applause for being a solid mass entertainer. The movie marks the 8th consecutive 100 Cr hit by Filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
Now the filmmaker hosted a special screening of Simmba for stalwarts of the film fraternity, such as writer-producer Salim Khan, his wife Salma and actress Helen, along with veteran actresses Asha Parekh and Waheeda Rahman also attended the special screening of the film.
Celebrated screenwriter Salim Kahn arrived with Salma Khan and director Rohit Shetty was photographed greeting the couple. Actress Waheeda Rahman and Asha Parekh arrived together for Simmba screening.
Simmba has become Rohit Shetty’s eighth film to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark, making him one of the most bankable directors of the film industry.
The filmmaker holds the record for maximum films in “Rs. 100 crore club” including Golmaal Again, Chennai Express, Dilwale, Singham Returns, Bol Bachchan, Singham and Golmaal 3.
The movie also starred Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo, now the marketing is buzzing that action superstar Akshay is all set to join the Rohit Shetty’s world of the franchise as Veer Suryavanshi.
