Actor Arjun Rampal attended promotional event which was hosted by a radio station on Saturday in Mumbai where they screened Mithun Chakraborty’s film Dance Dance. While interacting with media, Arjun stated that 1980s was the most coolest, stylized and original time.
Arjun Rampal has used one song from film Dance Dance in his upcoming film Daddy, talking about that Arjun said, “I think 1980s is the most coolest time, stylized and original time when dance step was just a dance step and not a step. It was effortless. The actors in that period were true stars. Everything they felt, they felt from their heart so when me and Ashim decided to do a song for Daddy we decided to give tribute to Bappi da (Bappi Lahiri) who is king of Disco. From his film Dance Dance we took a song named Zindagi Dance Dance which they didn’t picturized for that film. It only available in the music album of that film so we decide to use this song for our film and then again we shot the song using set ‘Raat Baaki’ song through which we again paid tribute to Parveen Babi so I hope people who aren’t aware of 1980s period will be know the period better through our effort and others who knows the that period will feel nostalgic and that was our motive behind using this song”.
Talking about his film Daddy, he said, “We have made very different kind of movie and we have worked very hard for this film. It’s a realistic film on the life Arun Gawli and in his life there is lot of masala (Spice) so I hope it will be good entertainer and I hope we will met audience expectation through our film”.
Daddy stars Arujun Rampal and Aishwarya Rajesh in lead roles. Daddy is biopic on Mumbai’s gangster turn politician Arun Gawli who was active in Mumbai in 1980s and 1990s. Daddy is directed by Ashim Ahluwalia.
It is releasing on 8 September.
