Suniel Shetty and Sana Khan unveiled the ‘Stardust Dhamakedaar Naaz Women Achievers Of India Awards’ Issue on Monday. During media interaction, Suniel said, A Gentleman was a way of reminding the audience he is around.
The actor was last in a negative role in the film A gentleman and when asked he will continue to work as an antagonist he said, “I did because Mukesh Shah came to me and said it is a very interested character and there was a plan to the film. Unfortunately, the film didn’t work. I took a break for 3 and half years from cinema completely. I didn’t do a single film. ‘A Gentleman’ wasn’t a comeback but yes I am around kind of a message. It doesn’t matter to me if I am doing a negative or positive role; it’s about doing good films.”
He further added, “I have really done just one negative role based film that is ‘Main Hoon Na’. But I didn’t do it because it was negative, but because I believed ‘Raghavan’ (his character) had a reason for doing what he did.”
When asked I she is part of JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’ he said, “No I am not a part of JP Dutta’s ‘Paltan’. It was purely because I had this beard growing and I was doing a show on television at the time. And when it comes to the army (film’s supposed character in the film) that isn’t something that is allowed and unfortunately, I couldn’t do it. But I know the way the film is progressing. Knowing JP Dutta he is an absolute genius. He is someone who loves the country more the chief of army does. Kudos to him and I am sure he will do a great job.”
He was last seen in ‘A Gentleman’ directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK co- starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez.
