Aamir Khan is no ordinary name in the industry. He made himself a special place in the film industry from his very first film QSQT to TZP. He has excelled as an actor and filmmaker. He made a continuous progression with his films as an actor and when he diced to produce a film, he made it straight to the Academy awards with Lagaan, which was one of the regional nominations and a hot favorite as well. After that he produced Taare Zameen Par, a film that left critics and viewers spellbound. His third production Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na will also launch his nephew Imran Khan.
Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na was initially supposed to be produced by Jhamu Sugandh but it was taking more time and a financial crisis left Jaane Tu…in a nowhere. This was when Imran Khan and Abbas Tyrewala needed Aamir’s help. They gave him the script and Aamir decided to produce but only after making sure the film was worth producing. Though he started off with a professional note but now as the film is scheduled to be released, Aamir gets emotional. He recollects the days how he was launched by his uncle, who happens to be Imraan’s grandfather in QSQT. He feels he is doing it for the family. He even invited Mansoor Khan to help him in the production.
Though Aamir is known to be finicky about his directors, he is full of praise for Abbas Tyrewala as a talented director. Aamir found something incredible in all his earlier works that made him accept to produce Jaane Tu…but not before taking a test of Abbas. He asked Abbas to shoot 5 scenes and then he grew confident about his direction. He remembers how during his debut didn’t stir an interest and how the craze about the launch of debutant has taken over now.
Aamir recollects an incident about the shooting of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. He never really went to see how the shoot of the film was going on but one night he found some shooting happening at Bandra bandstand and just to fulfill his curiosity, he went on to see who was shooting and he was surprised to find Mansoor Khan, Abbas Tyrewala and Imran Khan shooting at the middle of the night. Aamir is full of praise for the music A.R. Rahman has given to this film and no wonder the music album is rising every week. The youngsters and some good music has already created enough interest among the audience.
Aamir has always developed as an actor and he has tried to learn and grow with every film that he takes up. He says even personality wise he grows with each film. Talking about his so-called rivalry with Shah Rukh Khan, he states that they share a comfort level that makes them joke about each other. Aamir even clears up the rumor that the track Pappu can’t dance is not intended to be a spoof of Salman as he is a very good dancer. He invited Amitabh and Shah Rukh for the premiere of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na as well.
Aamir has about two releases this year Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Ghajini. He also has two upcoming films Delhi Belly, an untitled project by Anusha and a Raju Hirani’s next.
