Ace Composer Duo Jatin-Lalit to Reunite?

Published on

May 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It has been more or less four years now since the hit duo of composers of Bollywood Jatin-Lalit split. The reason for the split was said to be several personal problems. But it looks like their music is hugely missed, not just by the audiences, but also the film fraternity. After all, the duo did give some of the best music compositions to Bollywood.

Jatin-Lalit had started their Bollywood career by composing music for Yaara Dildara back in 1992. The song “Bin Tere Sanam…” of the movie is one of the most popular songs till date and has been remixed several times. From there, they have gone on to give music to some of the best bollywood movies such as Khamoshi, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

Yash Raj Films for one seems to be very keen on getting the two brothers to work together again. Apparently, they have been calling the brothers frequently to convince them of the idea. Looks like Aditya Chopra has finally come to realise that Yash Raj has been unable to come up with any new hit numbers post Fanah which had released in 2006.

But of course, it now depends on the brothers on whether they will be getting back together or not. Though, it seems quite unlikely as the parting had not really taken place on a good note. Younger brother Lalit feels that nothing can be predicted at this moment; just as no one could have predicted the split.

Well, for the sake of Bollywood we do hope that they leave behind their differences and get back together. After all they did create magic with the Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. The soundtrack was also voted to be all-time favourite by on-line voters on BBC Asian network. And it goes without saying that audiences will be the happiest if they do come together.
