The anticipation for the film ‘OMG 2’ has just escalated with the release of its latest track ‘Har Har Mahadev,’ featuring none other than the Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar. The song was officially released by the movie makers on Thursday across various social media platforms.
Akshay Kumar made the big reveal on his personal Instagram handle, sharing the full video of the song ‘Har Har Mahadev.’ He accompanied the post with a caption announcing the release of the song, followed by a reminder of the movie’s theatrical release date on August 11.
The song’s video spotlights a vibrant celebration, with numerous devotees reveling in the glory of the deity, dancing in sync with the lively beats of the song. Akshay Kumar’s fervent performance of the Tandav dance in the song left fans awe-inspired.
Vikram Montrose, the talent behind the song’s composition and vocals, has collaborated with lyricist Shekhar Astitwa to create ‘Har Har Mahadev.’ Adding further dynamism to the song are the robust dance sequences choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and perfectly executed by Akshay.
Pankaj Tripathi, who plays a devotee of Lord Shiva in the film, also graces the song with his presence. Upon the song’s release, Akshay’s performance was met with a shower of praise from his fans in the comments section. One fan described the song as amazing, adding that Akshay’s energy was unmatched. In ‘OMG 2,’ Pankaj Tripathi embodies the character of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a fervent worshipper of Lord Shiva. Akshay Kumar is cast as Lord Shiva, who comes to Kanti’s family’s aid during a crisis. Yami Gautam essays the role of a lawyer. This film is the sequel to the hit movie ‘OMG: Oh my God,’ which featured Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, with the latter in the role of Lord Krishna.
Akshay Kumar’s future projects include the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ set for a February 16, 2024 release, and the action thriller ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ which will be released on Eid 2024. He is also reuniting with Riteish Deshmukh for the fifth installment of the hit comedy franchise ‘Housefull.’
