Akshay Kumar –Bollywood’s undisputed action hero will soon be heading to an undisclosed location for 2 months to train in Traditional Combat Karate- a very lethal form of Karate, for his role in Rowdy Rathore also starring Sonakshi Sinha.

The out –and-out action film presented by UTV will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala and co-produced by designer Shabinaa Khan.

The “original action hero” is back with Rowdy Rathore as Akshay Kumar along with the action director of the film take time out to study the traditional martial arts form ,a brutal style of street fighting that is popularly practiced in the underground sectors of South East Asia

Set in the rustic heartland of India , Rowdy Rathore directed by Prabhudeva is a larger than life film with never-seen-before action including the dangerous martial art form of Combat Karate which can only be practiced by people who have great expertise and concentration since it follows no rules.

Says a source “Rowdy Rathore will introduce to audiences a new kind of sport and being the professional that he is ,Akshay decided to take 2 months off to train intensively in combat karate. Set in the rustic heartland of the country the film has a lot of action and required a star who knew the technical know-hows of his dangerous sport- Akshay seemed like the perfect fit since being a trained martial arts professional he could pull the role off with panache.
