Anil Kapoor is sharing screen space with his son Harshvardhan Kapoor in upcoming sports biopic on ace shooter Abhinav Bindra and now Jhakass actor is all set to do a film with daughter Sonam Kapoor.
Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor are all set to share screen space in upcoming Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga (ELKDTAL), which marks the directorial debut on Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister Shelly Dhar.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He wrote, “Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s new film #EkLadkiKoDekhaTohAisaLaga… Marks directorial debut of Shelly Chopra Dhar… Co-produced by Fox Star… Filming begins today”
The film goes on floors today with Anil and TV actress Madhu Malti, who plays Anil’s wife and Sonam’s mom on screen.
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga is going to be a very special project for Anil Kapoor, as he will reunite with Vidhu Vinod Chopra after their successful collaboration 1942 – A Love Story’ which released in 1994.
ELKDTAL also is a reunion film for Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla who have given many hits together.
Actor Rajkummar Rao is already doing Fanne Khan with Anil Kapoor, plays his daughter Sonam’s love interest in the film.
Sonam Kapoor is currently busy promoting Padman with Akshay Kumar and Dutt Biopic with Ranbir Kapoor.
Rajkummar Rao is currently shooting for Stree, which is an upcoming horror comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The film also stars and Shraddha Kapoor.
