Arjun Rampal is all geared up with his upcoming crime biopic titled Daddy, says it is good things to have expectation from a film.
Written and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, the forthcoming crime biopic titled Daddy, chronicles the life of living gangster Arun Gawli, which has created quite an expectation among fans, which according to actor Arjun is a good thing.
“It is important to have expectations for a film. I have been working in Industry for so long, so even now if people don’t have expectations from my film than what’s the purpose of making a film”
“See when there is expectation from audience; it automatically shoulders the responsibility on you. This movie is different; it is not like you have made a typical film. It is a different kind of film” adds Arjun Rampal during his recent media interaction here in Mumbai.
Arjun Rampal as Arun Gawli in Daddy required intense physical transformation and research work. Many think that this move to do crime biopic is a risky move, but Arjun begs to differ.
“There is risk in every film. If there is any no-risk film, which will make 100-200 crore at box office, than everyone would make the same film. We don’t make films only for box-office but for audience as well” said Arjun.
The movie chronicles the life of Arun Gawli till his incarceration and Arjun is confident about his upcoming release.
“We liked the film, Arun Gawli and his family liked the film. The entire cast and crew liked the film, so there is a sense of satisfaction regarding the film” added Arjun.
The movie also features south actress Aishwarya Rajesh and Nishikant Kamat in pivotal roles. The movie is currently slated for 8th September 2017.
