Arjun Rampal is pretty stocked about getting appreciation from Arun Gawli’s family for upcoming biopic Daddy, says family liked the film that is the most important thing.
Arjun Rampal hosted a special screening of upcoming Daddy, biopic based on Arun Gawli, for gangster turned politician’s family members here in Mumbai.
Arun Gawli’s wife Asha Tai and Daughter Geeta, along with many other turned up at the screening and gave the movie a big thumbs-up.
“Such a lovely movie, I liked it. Everyone has worked better than expected” said Asha, wife of Arun Gawli.
Arjun Rampal, who plays the titular role of Arun Gawli, expressed his happiness over such praise. He said “Asha Taai and Geeta, liked the film that is the most important thing. Even Rama Naika’s family is here, they like the movie. It is not the type of film, which is trying to glorify anyone, do some heavy dialogue-baazi, it is a serious film”
“It depicts the Journey of Arun Gawli, and when someone takes this road, how difficult his journey actually is? See crime doesn’t go anywhere; the form of crime keeps changing, and this is what we have tried to show in the film” said Arjun.
Arjun Rampal has been screening the film across India. He is leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. After so many screening, actor quips that he feels like as if the movie has already released.
“After so many screening, I feel like as if the movie has already released, not nervous anymore. We made a movie exactly what we wanted to serve the audience. Go watch the film; it is different, unique and true story” added Arjun Rampal.
The political crime drama biopic Daddy is written and directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. The film stars Arjun Rampal, who also co-wrote the film, portraying gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli.
It also stars South Indian actress Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead role, as Asha Tai, wife of Arun Gawli.
The movie opened in the theater on September 8, 2017.
