The movie B.A. Pass is based on male prostitution, deals with seduction and lust. Interesting subject, that will drive our young generation to the movie theaters. The movie stars Shilpa Shukla, Shadab Kamal, Rajesh Sharma, Deepti Naval and Geeta Sharma; directed by Ajay Bahl. The movie is based on Mohan Sikka’s short story, The Railway Aunty, published in 2009 as part of Delhi Noir anthology.
Regular sobs. A teenage boy, Mukesh, lost his parents in an accident, old grandpa, and two sisters in an orphanage is forced to move to Delhi to his uncle’s boss, Rajesh Sharma. His aunt, the vamp, played by Shilpa Shukla connects him to various anti, oops, aunty sources for a quickie bucks to pay off his education and take care of his sisters. A brief encounter with society diva Sarika draws him into a seamy world where his middle-class idealism bumps into sex, sleaze and deceptions.
As per grapevine “Everybody is in a celebration mood as the film got 1,800 shows in a day and 750 screens, which is commendable for an independent film which has not been backed by any studio”
The team is in party mood. We will certainly have some photos for you. The movie has been screened at Montreal World Film Festival, NY Indian Film Festival and ImagineIndia Film Festival in Spain.
A watchable movie.
