June 3, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Dubai welcomed Being Human for a path breaking 2 day extravaganza that saw some of the biggest names from Pakistan and India come together for a noble cause.

Taking a step towards raising awareness of the Being Human Foundation and promoting peace and harmony between neighboring countries the foundation held a T20 cricket match on the 27th May 2010 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium between the India and Pakistan.

Those present to support Salman Khan‘s Being Human Foundation included Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan, Atul Agnihotri ,cricketers Shoaib Akhtar and Shoaib Malik , director David Dhawan, actors Riteish Deshmukh, Sharman Joshi, Sanjay Kapoor,Vatsal Seth, Suneil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Javed Jaffery , Humayun Saeed, Ejaz Aslam, Faisal Qureshi, Moammar Rana, Javed Sheikh and singer Atif Aslam to name a few.

On the occasion Salman Khan said

“What will come out of the match is India and Pakistan not playing against each other, but playing together and walking together”

In a friendly twist Shoaib Malik played for team India while his wife Sania Mirza egged him on from the stands. Sohail Khan impressed all with his skills on the ground scoring the maximum number of runs during the match.

The following day saw a press conference and brunch at the Grand Midwest Hotel in Media City who were kind enough to pledge a whopping amount towards the Being Human Foundation.

Talking about the cause said Salman Khan “If money can save a life and we have it, we will do it”

And in true Salman Khan style the evening glittered with a Gala dinner and a fashion show at the World Trade Centre that gave audiences a sneak preview of the Being Human line.
