Actress Bipasha Basu launched The Great Indian Wedding Book published by Hundred Communications Pvt Ltd on Wednesday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Bipasha said that wedding is like an epic film of life which you never repeat.
When asked her whether marriage is just like doing a film, she said, “Its lot more than doing a film. This film just happens once. It’s like one of your epic films which you never repeat. Every bit of it is tough. Just like in films, there is an art director but in wedding, an individual becomes combination of professionals and in that case it was me in my wedding”
She added, “Generally, we hire wedding planners but I don’t know why I accepted the challenge to plan my own wedding right from food, music and flower decorations. I want it to repeat it again and again because it was one of the most beautiful two days of my life”
When asked her whether there are any similar personality traits in her and her husband Karan Singh Grover, she said, “We are very much alike. We have very similar tastes that are why we are close friends. He has become more Bengali than me. He wants to have rice every day. I don’t eat rice very often as I eat that only on my birthday but he is a strange Sardar, he doesn’t want roti or paratha. He speaks fluent Bengali. I don’t speak Punjabi. He tries to teach to me, I understand it but still I don’t able to speak it and apart from that we love to travel, peopletold us that your honey moon is never ending so I hope every couple is should like that only and you have to make your life beautiful with your partner”.
When asked about her future film projects, Bipasha said, “Karan is doing his own film. He will fly to London to shoot his next film. I am figuring out something. It’s going to start hopefully this year because I have actually worked hard on this so I hope it actually falls into place”.
Bipasha also talked about independence as Independence Day is coming around, she said, “We are grateful for the fact that people fought for us and we are an independent country and we get to rejoice it today. There are so many women of my age in different countries don’t enjoy anything so I feel I am in very happy place. I can’t really ask more than this”.
“There are lot of negative incidents that is happening in our country with our women’s in our country. We talk about respecting girl child and teaching them self confidence but I just hope this evil stops and I hope there will some magic as there is god up there and one day he puts his hand up and all of it just goes away”.
Bipasha was last seen in Alone along with her husband Karan Singh Grover in 2015. Karan Singh Grover is working Firrki along with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sandeepa Dhar, Jackie Shroff and Kay Kay Menon
