May 31, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Who says that you need stars for a party? It’s music, women, and wine that make for a rocking night. There were not many stars, but Ajaz Khan’s birthday bash at Mumbai’s Sheesha Sky Lounge wasn’t bereft of any entertainment. Good music, women and wine flowed all night.
For those uninitiated, Khan played Dushshasan in Ekta Kapoor‘s Kahaani Hamaray Mahaabharaat Ki.
It wasn’t birthday alone. Khan had major reason to party. The actor’s celluloid dreams have been realized as he’s been picked to play the negative lead in Ram Gopal Verma’s upcoming film Rakta Charitra.
“Sudhir Mishra, Jagmohan Mundra, Abhinav Kapoor, and Ram Gopal Verma. All these directors had promised me a role in their next film. However, it’s Ram Gopal Verma who had kept to his word. I’m grateful to him for granting me this role,” said Khan.
It was hard to get more words from the man who was busy playing host to his guests. The non-stop music too made it hard to listen. This wasn’t an occasion to talk. Khan and his guests were in high spirits from the moment go. The ones who could be recognized were Chitrashi Rawat, producer Raj Verma, Shahbaz Khan, Gaurav Dixit, Prashant Narayan, and Aryan Vaid who arrived late and disappeared soon.
However, it weren’t these erstwhile names that hogged the limelight. That honor went to two unknown pretty ladies – one dressed in black, the other in white. The shutterbugs and the videographers kept flashing their camera on the two ladies who were more than happy to oblige.
Meanwhile, Ajaz was seen mingling with a pretty friend. Initially, one assumed it must be his girlfriend but the actor was in denial mode. Later on, this lady was spotted smoking all by herself at the bar.
The cake cutting took place at the stroke of mid-night and thereafter everyone took to the dance floor. The party continued till the wee hours of Sunday. However, it was early curtain for one pretty lass who gulped down one peg too many. She dropped on the couch and later puked. However, the rest were oblivion to her plight as they partied all night.
