On Monday night, Vikram Phadnis hosted a special screening of his directorial debut Marathi film Hrudayantar in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Sonali Bendre, Shweta Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Mustafa Burmawalla , Chunky Pandey, Dia Mirza’ s husband Sahil Sangha, Riteish Deshmukh’s brother Dhiraj Deshmukh and his wife Honey Bhagnani with cast of the film Manish Paul, Sonali Khare and Subodh Bhave also attended the screening of the film.

Kiara Advani – I am very excited to watch the film. I have read the script of this film. I know the story of this film is really good. This film has universal emotions.
Talking about Vikram Phadnis, she said, “Vikram has done costumes for my last film Machine. He is so perfectionist in his work so I can imagine how he has put this film together and I am sure it is going to be lovely film.”
Talking about working in Marathi films, she said, “If script and role is good then definitely, I will work in Marathi films as language is not barrier for me.
Manish Paul – I am very excited because it’s a first film of Vikram Phadnis and he is really good friend of mine. The story of the film is really good and he has worked really hard for this film. It’s an emotional film. As a director, Vikram takes care of detailing in each part of filmmaking especially music. I am playing myself in this film. When Vikram asked me do to it I readily agreed to be part of this film.
Chunky Pandey – I am really excited to see the film. I have heard that, it’s a really good emotional story. Vikram is very dear friend of mine and he is an amazing costume director and if he has made film like that then it is going to be super successful film.
Talking about working in Marathi film, he said, “I am really keen to work in Marathi movie from longest period of time but no one offers me a film. I am ready to produce it as well if anyone wants to cast me in Marathi films”
Subodh Bhave – I haven’t watched the film. So my excitement level is very high and for now I am eagerly looking forward to see people’s reaction about the film. Vikram is very good director and he has made exact film the way he narrated the script to me with lot of confidence, conviction and clarity.
Hrithik Roshan, Shiamak Dawar and Manish Paul have made special appearances in this film, talking about Bollywood’s collaboration with Marathi films, Subodh said, “Bollywood has been collaborating with Marathi films since long period of time. I feel language is not barrier for the films and everyone wants themselves to get associated with good scripts irrespective of language and that was reason these stalwarts of Hindi cinema associated with our film.
Hrudayantar revolves around a family of four – the parents and two young daughters. The relationship between the husband and the wife is going through a rough patch and they often think of going separate ways. However, a traumatic event changes the way they look at their lives and at each other.
Hrudayantar stars Mukta Barve, Subodh Bhave, Trushnika Shinde, Nishtha Vaidya, Sonali Khare Anand, Meena Naik, Mehera Acharia and Amit Khedekar. It is slated to release on 7 July.
