Shilpa Shetty hosted special screening of web series ‘Yo Ke Hua Bro’ in which her younger sister Shamita Shetty is playing main lead on Friday in Mumbai. Bollywood celebrities like Shamita Shetty, Aparshakti Khurana, Bipasha Basu, Niranjan Iyengar, Gaurav Pandey, Farah khan, Harshvardhan Rane, Upen Patel, Nishka Lulla, Terence Lewis attended the screening.

Here’s what celebrities had to say about the web series –

Shamita Shetty – I am playing different character than my earlier characters. This character has lot of shades. Initially, she looks simple and sweet girl but as story progresses she becomes confident. She knows what she wants and she is aware of her sexuality and she knows how to use it as weapon. I am coming on screen after so long even if it’s a web series so lots of people were happy just see to that and whoever has seen it, they are liking it on the whole and I think that’s important.

Talking about emergence of digital medium, she said, “Digital is like a new thing now. I think on this platform a lot of filmmakers can experiment with their subject as there is no censorship here sp that’s like sword dangling on everyone’s head. Now lot of really big stars also now experimenting on this platform so I think it’s a good time for web to grow”

Shila Shetty – I am excited as an elder sister that at last she agreed to do something. She was getting offers but she wasn’t like to do them. I feel this series has very interesting concept and I really like it when Shamita narrated it to me. Shamita is very talented and I am not saying this because she is my sister. When I see performing Shamita, I feel she is far more talented than me when it comes to dancing and performance because it comes very naturally to her whereas I have to take lot of efforts for the same.

Harshvardhan Rane – I think it’s a story of heartland. Now we all are seeing that web is getting so powerful. I specially come to see Shamita’s work because she is good friend of mine and a good actress and apart from that, She has been looking as beautiful as she used to be over the years. , I don’t know how and for that I might take some tips from her.”

Farah Khan – I feel from now on, digital medium is going to grow at a rapid speed. When I am at home, I only watch Netflix, Amazon and Voot web channels. It’s fabulous that India is making so much of content for web.

She also talked about her aspiration to venture into digital medium, she said, “I f I get any interesting offer where I feel, I have 8-10 episodes to put across my story then definitely, I would love to do a web series”

The web series features actors Shamita Shetty, Aparshakti Khurana, Gaurav Pandey and Ridhima Pandit. Actor Sumeet Vyas, who is best known known for his portrayal of Mikesh Chaudhary in popular web-series Permanent Roommates, will make a special appearance in Yo Ke Hua Bro, as a policeman.
