Hey there! Great to see you again after such a long time. I know, I know; it’s been not more than a week, but it’s hard to be patient when there is much to discuss and talk about! After a rather tremulous week where a lot of our Bollywood junta has been on tenterhooks, it’s at least time for some to rejoice. Hold on! Wait for a while and you will be satiated with a wonderfully delicious serving of gossip and hot news.
One of the biggest things that happened, amidst all the other tough competition, is Abu Salem. Once again, he had created terror in the hearts of our stars and mega big shots. The only difference is that this time he was not wholly responsible for it. His famed narco-analysis was dreaded by more than half of Bollywood. After being given the truth serum, the man seemed to be in a trance like state and responded in a fashion that just confirms the previous assumption. I am sure that a lot of the big wigs would have tried their best to keep the tape recording of the session under wraps; especially from the eyes of the blood hungry media. But despite their hardest efforts, one of the leading news channels managed to get it and big secrets are out. I don’t want to say much, but just that I’m sure glad I’m not Subhash Ghai right now. But it was disappointing, in a way. I personally think that Salem was not as doped out as he pretended to be, he is too experienced a hood for that. Oh well, the water will soon separate from the oil is the way I see it.

Talking about criminals, here is a piece of news that some will rejoice at and some will frown at. Yes, I’m talking about the Sanjay Dutt bail issue. The public’s favored Munna Bhai is once again free, even if only for a while. His sentence shocked a lot of people, including himself. But he re appealed and is back home today. Needless to say, sister Priya Dutt has a lot to do with that. Now that he is back at his Bandra residence, the media and public can’t get enough of him. They are practically hounding him! Poor guy, the court gave him bail, but ironically, he is being held under house arrest by his own fans. Such is life, isn’t it?
While one is heaving a sigh of relief, another is waiting with bated breath. Maybe the court is having the Bollywood bad boys one after the other just for kicks because even as Sanju’s case is taking a little breather, we have Sallu’s case enter the lime light during the intermission. The black buck incident has left a black mark on his life that just refuses to go away, despite repeated attempts. Once again, its time to step up for a hearing. Only, after the sentence passed on Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan can’t take this to be a light issue which will just blow away. Indeed, he too realizes this because all the people who are close to him admit that the star looks nervous as hell. Our best wishes with one of our favorites- only what is destined will come your way, so dear Sallu, why worry?
Bobby Deol
I think I’ve written enough about jails to last me for a while now. I almost feel as if I were inside one myself. But forget about me, there is a certain actor who feels a little trapped himself of late. We are talking about Bobby Deol. Oh god just read a little ahead before jumping to conclusions dahling! He claims that he has finally been pushed into becoming the chosen face of a clothing line on the urging of none other than ace photographer Atul Kasbekar. You see, Bobby has had tons of such offers in the past, but nothing that caught his interest. But this time, the project and the assignment; both are very interesting. So he was finally coerced into the project. Ho hum! Of course, in the past, he had to concentrate real hard on his acting commitments, right? So how on earth could he even consider modeling? The only reason, even now, is because this is the best offer since sliced bread right? And sweet little Bobby loves to go against the flow- everyone moves from modeling to acting, but he chose to do the opposite. How unique and exciting!
Talking about unique, well, this is sure to be another first. Anil Kapoor and David Dhawan have always been on great terms with each other. That would be a correct statement to make until a few days back. If inside word is to be believed, alls not well in paradise. You see, apparently David Dhawan and the missus were indulging in some loud back biting about Anil’s first venture as a producer with Gandhi, My Father. Unfortunately for them, an equally loud mouth went and conveyed their exact sentiments to the Kapoors. The next thing you know, Mrs. Dhawan gets back a catty and scathing message from her friend, Mrs. Kapoor, when she sent her an SMS raving about the same film. Well, guess someone made a really big boo boo…
Some do it with SMS, some choose red wine. Believe it or not, what you are going to read is remarkably funny. Very recently, Upen Patel and Shamita Singha had a showdown; and boy! What a showdown it was! Miffed with the argument they were having, Patel had the audacity to throw wine on the sultry model’s head! What’s more, all this happened in front of many shocked and prying eyes. Tch, tch. Obviously, she gave him a boot out of her life. If you ask me Shamita, I think you did yourself a major favor…
Whew! I’m all tired out and sort of empty after unloading this vast information on you but trust me, the pleasure was all mine!
