Box-office numbers of Padmaavat are going to be earth-shattering says Deepika Padukone

Actress Deepika Padukone made an appearance at public event after so long as she walked red carpet of HT Most Stylish Awards 2018 on Wednesday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Deepika assured that Box-office numbers of her film ‘Padmaavat’ are going to be earth-shattering.

‘Padmaavat’ has been constantly targeted by politicians and Shree Rajput Karni Sena but after all the struggle, Padmaavat managed to get green signal from Supreme court that film will be screened in the entire country, sharing feeling about release of the film, Deepika said, “We are very excited for the release of the film tomorrow. It’s a big day for all of us. I am extremely overwhelmed and emotional right now. This film has been through so much and to see that the film is finally releasing, to see the kind of reactions that the film is getting and audience reactions to my performance is extremely overwhelming. On behalf of our team I want to thank entire media for being so supportive through everything that we have done and everything that we have been through. I think now it’s really time for us to celebrated and see the film do wonders at a box-office”

When asked Deepika what message or response she want to give to people who are constantly opposing release of ‘Padmaavat’, to that, Deepika said, “I think there is time for everything and the film is spoken for itself as most of people have seen the reactions to our film and it’s been absolutely phenomenal. I feel that is in a way the best response that we can give to anyone through the work that we do. We are very excited about the release for tomorrow and we are extremely overwhelmed. I am very emotional at this point. I am not someone who is ever been excited about box-office numbers but I have to say that this time I am because I think it’s going to be earth-shattering.”

‘Padmaavat’ is Based on the epic poem Padmavat (1540) by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, the film narrates the story of Padmavati, a Rajput queen who committed jauhar to protect herself from Khilji.

In ‘Padmaavat’, Deepika Padukone stars as Rani Padmavati, alongside Shahid Kapoor as Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh, and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji. Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Raza Murad, and Anupriya Goenka feature in supporting roles.

It is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Sudhanshu Vats, Ajit Andhare & Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

‘Padmaavat’ is releasing in India on 25th January, 2018.
